I don't believe in it.

A few of the people on the original excavation did die, or get very sick, but think of it like this:

That tomb had been blocked off for thousands of years. There were corpses and bugs in there. It would be ridiculous to think that there wouldn't be diseases and viruses festering in there. It's no wonder people got sick, there would have been so many bacteria.

Also, I don't think that anyone would have cared enough to place any more of a curse on Tutankhamun's tomb than anyone else's. He wasn't a pharaoh for very long, and he was just a kid when he died.

I don't believe in the curse, but it makes for a good story!

there's no longer a curse - that's a fantasy. whilst Lord Carnarvon died on 5 April 1923, seven weeks after the respectable establishing of pharaoh Tutankhamun's burial chamber, rumours have been rife a pair of curse. information of Tutankhamun's tomb and its discoverers had despatched the international's media right into a frenzy and the demise of Lord Carnarvon extra yet another twist for prepared journalists. each variety of hyperlinks have been stumbled on. The lights of Cairo have been suggested to have long gone out on the 2nd of his demise (no longer an uncommon prevalence back then), whilst back at Carnarvon's English sources his dogs, Susie, replaced into meant to have howled and died on an identical time. Carnarvon's demise got here in elementary terms a pair of weeks after a public warning by using novelist Mari Corelli that there would be dire effects for anybody who entered the sealed tomb. The media and public lapped it up. Conan Doyle, the author of Sherlock Holmes and a believer interior the occult, introduced that Carnarvon's demise would have been the tip results of a "Pharaoh's curse".

actually, I saw a really interesting show about this on the history channel. They said that scientists and historians have found that there is a harmful bacteria on the walls that is eating the pictures on the walls, but it can be fatal for those who come in contact with it, example- touching the walls. Also the hole in his skull is now believed not to be murder, but an accident when archaeologists first discovered his tomb. In those days, they put skulls on a peg thing that went through the skull to prop it up. Also, there are old writtings and pictures of King Tut and his father both standing with a cane and a bit of a gut and a curved back. They believe that they both had a genetic disorder that did cause both of their deaths. This stuff is so interesting!!

the "curse" was made up by newspapers to bring more attention to the story. no where on any of the artifacts does it say anything about a curse.
