I grew up only a half hour outside of Gainesville and also lived in the town itself for 2 years, but I had never heard of the following story until now. While searching onlie I came across a few websites that list "haunted" locations in FL. One website gave a long list of locations, I was able to find supposed hauntings in all the cities that are relevant to me, go figure. The Gainesville section was interesting though. These sites claim hauntings from the 13th ST Wal Mart to the Steak N Shake on the same road. I have to admit that made me giggle, though the story behind the Steak N Shake is less than amusing. Story has it, 5 people were murdered inside the old restraunt (that was recently leveled and rebuilt with a more modern look) and left in the freezer. One version claims robbery, the other a disgruntled employee. The thing is, I can't find any info on said event. Ever heard of this story? Also, do you know of any other claimed hauntings in the area?

I haven't heard of this. I have recently experienced Steak n Shake in the midwest. Their burgers and shakes are excellent! I know not related....but I'm located in Seattle and we don't have steak and shakes!

But what's the website you used to look for haunted locations? Add more details and let me know. I'll check this posting again later.

Also, search...how do I catch a ghost on yahoo answers. You'll get more info there.
