1: "Early in this unit, you read the story of Daedalus and Icarus. There are at least two lessons to be learned from this myth. What might those be?"

2: "We look to the past for stories of legendary figures. Future readers will one day be looking to our time for legendary figures as well. Who are some current-day figures who might be considered legendary figures in the future? What characteristics make them befitting of a legend? "

I need help answering these because I honestly have no idea, I'm not asking for people to do my work for me and yes I did pay attention to the unit but I still need help.

1.) Two possible lessons from Daedalus and Icarus: always listen to the advise of someone who knows a lot based on their own observations and/or experience; curiosity is sometimes a dangerous thing.

2.) There are many persons of today and the near distant past who have left a legacy on their own, things that will be worth remembering in the future. Mahatma Gandhi (India), Chiang Kai Shek (China), Yasser Arafat (Palestine), Mikhail Gorbachev (former USSR), Corazon Aquino (Philippine's People Power Revolution), etc.

1 - I'd say the core lesson is "Don't try to fly with wings made of feathers and bee's wax".

2 - Nelson Mandela - who died just a while ago - was already a legend in his own lifetime.

Amanda when they (teachers, etc) ask you a questions it is to see what you make of it. If you can't make anything of it is important they know so they can inform you further.
