Fundamental difference:

Muslims, people of Islamic faith (which is newer than Christianity), believe Jesus isn't God. According to them, he was a prophet. He did not die for mankind's sins.

According to C.S. Lewis, "Islam denies the Incarnation. It will not allow that God has descended into flesh or that Manhood has been exalted into Diety... It stands for all religions that are afraid of matter and afraid of mystery... Mere Monotheism blinds and stifles the mind like noonday sun in the Arabian deserts till we may well 'call on the hills to hide us.'"

Remember Abraham? He has 2 children. The first is Ishmael from his maid Hagar, the 2nd is Isaac.

Muslims are trace their religion to Abraham's God via Ishmael, while Christians (and Jews) via Isaac.

So in essance, they're worshipping the same God.

If you want to talk about the different practices and traditions, then you need to do some in-depth research in your local library. But if all three religions worshipped the same God, then shouldn't that be what matters the most?

are you sure that you really dont kn ow the difference between the christian and the muslims? well, ill tell you, muslims strongly believe that allah is the real God and they insist that they are right! while christians believe in God the father. God the son and God the holy spirit. and they strongly believe that Jesus died in the cross to washed our sin.. and we must be thankful about that! praise God!

Its true. Abraham was the first character in the bible to recognize God,(and this started it all). Because Abraham recognized and acknowledged God to be GOD, God promised him that he would have descendants as numerous as the stars. Now this puzzled Abraham bec.he didnt have any children cause his wife, Sarah is barren. But God promised to give him a son through a miracle, inspite of Sarah being overaged (I think she was already a hundred yrs old at the time). But Sarah couldnt wait so she decided to let Abraham lay with their young slave girl to get her pregnant then after giving birth, get her son and claim it as theirs. But when the servantgirl finally gave birth to Abraham's son,(who was named ISHMAEL) Sarah suddenly felt a rage of jealousy and sent them away, expecting them not to survive in the desert without food, water and shelter. But the slavegirl cried out to the Lord for help, and He spared them. Now God still kept his promise to Abraham to give him a son with his wife. So Sarah bore a son to Abraham(who's name is ISAAC). Through ISAAC's line, was born Jesus Christ, and hence, the birth of CHRISTIANITY. But since ISHMAEL(the slavegirl's son), is also Abraham's son, he also believed in the same God that his father Abraham worshipped and so did his descendants(the MUSLIMS). But they dont beleive and dont recognize Jesus Christ bec. he came from the lineage of ISAAC. And since it was ISHMAEL who was sent away from infantry, you can see the bitterness they have rooted against the ISAAC and his mother Sarah, the wife of Abraham. And since then, Muslims(who claim to be the true children of God) have always been hostile against Christians(who also claim to be the true children of God). But in essence, they both are worshipping the same God. So, to date, the reason why there's a division between Muslims and Christians all goes back to HISTORY. ; )
Just passing through.

Hmmm, this is a tough one. They both have the same god, but different rules for following him, they are bitter enemies and willing to kill to prove it and they don’t really accomplish much besides getting bigger temples. Not much of a difference really.
