It's like in "Dracula" - once one willingly enters Dracula's house, he is then subject, because he willingly submitted. Same thing with the home, without submission, he/it cannot cross the threshold, because the threshold of a person's home is the sacred boundary. We make it that way by living there and holding it dear, as in sanctified.

it is true that they cannot enter a home without an invitation, but this is true with all things evil. the vampire however did get stuck with that thanks to hollywood. but in reality NO EVIL may enter a home without an invitation. greed, lust, addiction ect. ect. though for most things of that nature the invite does not need to b a spoken one. infact not speaking up and allowing things to enter is just as much an invitation as one spoken allowed. however with some evil such as vampires and B.E.K.'s, the invite must be a spoken one. and for those who think vampires do not exist, check ur history kids. they have been around for a very long time. not just in Europe, but china, japan, india, litterally every culture had them, rather has them. before men contacted each other via ships, with no way to share legends, they ALL had different names, all of which describing the same creature.

I read in a book (so it's not 'true' mythology) that a family in a house creates a threshold that the supernatural cannot pass unless invited in, so any house won't stop them but a place that is considered a true home by people will keep them out.

Hmmmm lets see i'll have to think about that....... NO because one. Vampires arnt real. Two. If they were real they would just go in your house like a theif would. And three. Stop reading Vampire storys cause they are killing your brain.

For starters, there is no such thing as a vampire. They are purely fictional.

if you're gonna believe in mythology, part of it is to accept the rules arbitrarily planted there...
