Okay, Osiris was the Egyptian God of the afterlife, but he had many other things attributed to him too. He was one of the first and most popular of the Egyptian Dieties. He had a brother Set, or Seth, and a sister Isis, who was also his wife.

Set became jealous of Osiris' power and beloved status, so killed him and dismembered his body, scattering them across the Earth.

Isis was grief stricken and travelled the Earth looking for pieces of her husband, when she had them all she bound them together in a mummified form and made love to her dead husband (I know, the Egyptians were messed up!) She became pregnant and bore Horus.

Horus grew up and killed his uncle Set in vengeance for his fathers death.

Isis and Osiris were egyptian brother/sister as well as husband/wife

Osiris was murdered by his evil brother Set and his limbs were scattered across egypt. ( set wanted to rule Egypt) when Isis found out about this she found the pieces of her beloved and mad him whole again. he ruled the Underworld ever since
