It is old an is not sharpened. It is green. I got is at a flee market so I don't know the real age or wear its from or what it was used for I can just see old Chinese caterers on it and it is green. I think it is bronz or copper. On the blade wear it is scratched a little I can see the medle and it looks like the color of a penny.
Please tell me any information you know about this.and how much you think it would be worth.
Make sure to look at the pics.
It is 15.9 pounds and 3 feet long

Have no idea what it's made of but it looks ornamental - not functional - like it was taken from a statue or some kind of exhibit. Interesting though - would be interested to know what time period it came from. The condition is rather poor - weathered so that makes me believe it was exposed to the elements. Not much more I can tell you.

It's made of bronze. When bronze goes rusty, it forms a CuSO4●5H2O layer on its surface, and it is green.

But I seriously doubt that any bronze sword made thousands of years ago can be so new. So I suspect that it's a modern artifact.

First, does a magnet stick to the blade.

If yes, it contains iron.

If no, it is made of a non-ferrous metal. Ferrous is another term for iron.

Suspect it is made from bronze.
