Question:
Were Nirvana an anti-illuminati band?

I know the illuminati stuff sounds crazy, but just hear me out and keep an open mind.
In 'smells like teen spirit' (their biggest anti-illuminati song) the chorus goes:

"a-luminato" - (The illuminati)
"an albino" - (people who can't go outside during the day; can't step into the light)
"a mosquito" - (blood suckers)
"my libido" - (my sex ie Fk you)

So Kurt was saying, the illuminati are not enlightened or illuminated at all and are merely blood sucking parasites, screw them.

"Rape me" was simply about him being raped by the illuminati. The chorus, "I'm not the only one" can be taken literally, but when played backwards it also says "the illuminati". Don't take my word for this, reverse the track and see for yourself.

"Dumb" was about being blissfully ignorant of the illuminati, but then waking up to the truth at the end of the chorus, "Wake me up". The sun is gone, "but I have a light"; the illuminati.

Various references to babies and the process of pregnancy and childbirth in many of Kurt's songs (Drain you, Heart Shaped Box, many more) relate to the idea of human farming in the new world order; that humans will be bred and enslaved and controlled. This parasitic behaviour is alluded to in many Nirvana songs.

So were Nirvana really an anti-illuminati band? It seems like they put lots of hidden messages in their songs, left to be uncovered by those that want to wake up to the truth.
What do you think?

I don't think Nirvana had anything to do with the illuminati in the first place. They didn't have any anti-illuminati messages within their music, so I don't know how you came up with such ideas, did you read it somewhere? People say all kinds of nonsense. I don't think that a grunge band like Nirvana would care about such stupid conspiracy theories, they just sang about whatever they liked. Kurt didn't seem like a type to give a crap about such things, you know, so I doubt they had anything to do with it. Also, reversed messages can be heard in most songs when played backwards, so does that mean that every band is involved with the secret agenda? I don't think so, the idea of backmasking existed since The Beatles, it's just nonsense. Everything played backwards will sound creepy and would have some kind of ''message'', trust me. I wouldn't worry about that, seriously dude, just relax and don't let such nonsense take over your mind.

The lyrics to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" are "a mulatto, an albino, a mosquito, my libido." Also, albinos are not vampires. They can go outside just as easily as anyone else. And here is an explanation to these lyrics:

"a mulatto (black and white) an albino (with out pigment). that mean there is no difference from black or white. then a mosquito (small and one time to suck blood and it dies) my libido (kurts sex drive compared to a mosquitos life span)

courtney love released kurts diary about 8 years ago. its clear in there about the mulatto and albino but only aludes to the mosquito and libido"

"Rape Me" was an anti-rape song. It was played at an anti-rape benefit. It did not involve the Illuminati. Backmasking creates way too many conspiracy theories and this is the most far-fetched one I've heard yet.

"Dumb" is just about being an outcast. If you look at his more lyrical and complicated songs, they often have much deeper meanings. "Dumb" was very simple.

Kurt had a fascination with human anatomy and he did a commercial once where he and the other members of Nirvana simulated giving birth. He obviously had a lot of interest in childbirth and fetuses and that did not have to do with the Illuminati. He may have toyed with ideas or concepts that relate to the supposed Illuminati but that really means nothing.

The Illuminati were Humanist Philosophy ("Humanism") geeks in the 1700s in what's now Germany.

Because the name's cool - and philosophy geeks aren't - modern conspiracy hoaxers kept the name and replaced everything else with a bunch of sinister conspiracy crap.

Debunking Illuminati conspiracies is easy as pie: Simply compare what a conspiracy claims to what Humanist Philosophy preaches.

Anyone who does will immediately realize all Illuminati conspiracies are just lies and scams.

And frankly, a person would have to lazy, irresponsible and downright stupid to not fact-check something before choosing whether to believe in it or not.

You can't hear the lyrics very well on that song, so it's vaguely understandable you'd come up with a conspiracy theory about it. Nirvana had nothing for or against the Illuminati, if they so exist.

"Cobain was confused religiously. He was, at one point, a born-again Christian, then he hated Christianity while following interests in Buddhism and Jainism. Cobain had a very liberal, anti-establishment attitude, but really no political convictions."

Sorry to break it to you, but I don't really think Kurt would believe in the Illuminati.

Smells Like Teen Spirit... I don't see any hidden references there, other than Kurt liked to experiment with his lyricism (try Mr. Moustache). Rape Me was a kick in the *** to the people who misjudged his lyrics, while also dealing with the rape subject (anti-rape). Dumb was as is. He felt amusing to his character (Lithium is a good example as well). Kurt was fascinated with the human anatomy, vaginas, and child birth (which is ironic because he missed his wife's birth), so really, nothing there. Any hidden message would clearly be fished at already ... but truthfully, I don't see any Illuminati-references at all.

Judging Nirvana from their most overrated is simply foolish. Kurt said himself that he thinks the song is ridiculously popular and watered-down. Nirvana even hated playing that song live and only played it because of the annoying naggy requests. If Kurt was still alive today he would be so upset at the fact that he was only remembered for that dumb song.

A Mulato

An Alibino

A mosquito

My libido

A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial

Drain You:

One baby to another says -

I'm lucky to have met you

I don't care what you think

Unless it is about me

It is now my duty to completely drain you

A travel through a tube

And end up in your infection

Chew your meat for you

Pass it back and forth

In a passionate kiss

From my mouth to yours

I like you

With eyes so dialated,

I've become your pupil

You've taught me everything

Without a poison apple

The water is so yellow, I'm a healthy student

Indebted and so grateful -

Vacuum out the fluids

Chew your meat for you

Pass it back and forth

In a passionate kiss

From my mouth to yours

(this song is clearly about a couple who are incredibly in love with each other)

Heart Shaped Box:

She eyes me like a pisces when I am weak

I've been locked inside your Heart-Shaped box for weeks

I've been drawn into your magnet tar pit trap

I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn back [Alt: ... when you turn black]

Hey! Wait!

I've got a new complaint

Forever in debt to your priceless advice

Hey! Wait! [Alt: Hate! Haight!]

I've got a new complaint

Forever in debt to your priceless advice

Hey! Wait!

I've got a new complaint

Forever in debt to your priceless advice

Your advice

Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet

Cut myself on angel's hair and baby's breath

Broken hymen of your highness I'm left black

Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back

^ this... is .. about ... Heroin... Blatantly about Heroin, he can't be any more in our face about it.

There is Zero anything about human farming. Since that's what you think, i assume you never read the lyrics...to any of their songs.

no, nothing Illuminati-ish there. And since they don't exists, if Kurt were to have written about them, it would have been to be facetious, since, yeah, its Kurt Cobain.
