Is the "bloody mary" urban legend true?

it's done in a very dark room with one lit candle. you do it in front of a mirror by turning around fast like 13 times while saying bloody mary. and then it's said that she'll appear in your reflection?

or is it only some kind of a mind trick? has anyone ever tried it? please share.

The appearance of a ghostly figure in the mirror could be explained quite easily for the more complex rituals, for example spinning around whilst summoning Bloody Mary in front of a mirror lit by candles. The combination of dizziness, rapid movement and flickering lighting could easily fool the eye into seeing someone, especially when the idea has already been implanted. The participant may think that they have seen a spirit, it is, however, most likely a trick of the eye brought upon by the combination of darkness and fear.

I havnt tried it, if always been too scared to do it.

But my phylosophy is that all ledgends and storys come from some real truth. there was a mouvie called urban legends:bloody mary.

It said that there was a girl who was killed on rpom night by her date, and was locked away in the storage room of her highschool, too be found again by her dates step daughter some 50 years later. the girl takes the remains of mary too her memorial plot and tryesa too bury them but is bludgend by the step father. Mary cma e back and danced with the father too the song they danced too on there prom night, but killes him.

The emts said he had a heart attack, and something must have scared him to death.

it goes in tune with there being power to the number 3.... and you can see things when looking into a mirror when there is no light.

if it is true, it's because your'e in a dark room with a reflection and your'e dizzy and the blood is swirling around your'e brain and the fluid is thrown to side of your eyeballs or something like you had too many bloody marys............

no...and i think a lot of kids will try it...plus...in my opinion...spinning around 13 times will make u dizzy and the room will spin...that will make the candle reflection in the mirror creepy looking...especially to a kid

well my one friend said she tried it and it worked but i can see her saying stuff to get attention. meanwhile, i told my other friend and she did it 3X in front of the mirror but w/ no candle and while talking on the phone w/ me and she said nothing happened.
