What types of abilities are there?

I already have a psychic friend (he can see spirits/ghosts and see the future some time before it happens). What other abilities are there?

Please, don't answer if you're going to be cynical about this or if you're just guessing. I'd like informative/useful answers.

Everybody of us heard about supernatural abilities of some people. There are a lot of people who have such abilities and use them that nowadays discussions about their abilities are not a secret any more. Teleportation is thought to be supernatural ability that is described in many books and thought to be magic.



Telekinesis is a term of parapsychology that is used to name supernatural ability of a person to influence and move the objects with a power of mind. According to some scientists almost every person has this ability. During evolution people simply lost this ability and this ability is not supernatural but natural.



Scientists try to explain this ability and some people even try to develop this ability.



Telepathy is the ability of transmitting of thoughts and emotions to others with the help of mind and making influence in such way on objects without using any technological means. Till now the existence of this ability wasn't proved. The base of this ability is considered to be intuition, Déjà vu. And people who have this ability are called telepaths.



Levitation is the ability of an object to overcome gravitation. During history a lot of people were considered to have this ability. Some people say that it is a gift of God and many religions mention this possibility of God or saint people. Famous comics are based on this ability of some people. World known Superman could fly too.



Superpower is enormous power that a person may possess. Nowadays the definition of this term is much contradicted and is not determined. The question is what power should be considered supernatural. But still it is a popular ability for heroes in fantastic and magic.



Foreseeing of future is the ability of a person to see future and know what is going to happen. One of the most famous people who had this ability is Nostradamus that predicted the Second World War.



Whether people have these abilities or not is a question that is very complicated to answer. We can't know it for sure. But the main problem about these possibilities is whether a person uses them for good or to harm someone. But till now scientists try to give scientific explanation of such abilities.

if you're interested, try searching specific abilities- typing in "supernatural abilities" into yahoo is going to bring up thousands of things.

also, try your library- there are lots of books about supernatural topics

you could try looking for books online, too- books you wouldn't see in a library. there's lots of bookstores that sell books about religions, abilities, how to gain supernatural powers, and other topics.

i'm not sure how much i believe in all of the supernatural powers& everything, but that is very cool about your friend

People like mythbusters should do a test on your friend and get real results and see if there is any evidence to what ever he says.

I to have a Special gift from God I can feel and see things before they happen I can dream about things way before they happen. At times other people would say that's evil but nothing from God is evil because I have this gift it has saved my life and I think God for this special gift if I am in pain the power in my body heals like something you could never believe but it's very true. I can feel when my family is near before they will call me and tell me where their at.

One time I was gone to go play Bingo at this Bingo place and I had such a strong feeling that I was gone to win playing off of Bingo tabs

from 25 cent i won $250 and then off of another 25 cent I won a $166

i have never felt something as Bingo that strong like i did it was such a awesome feeling. Another time I had two different dreams I dreamed I was gone to find a dollar it never said where and I did the next dream I had I dream I found $20 it was in the winter months and the place I try to stay out from when there's all kinds of ice is the parking lots sure enough I went through this parking lot there was $20 and in that dream I also dreamed I got married and yes I sure did.People that doesn't have the understanding of this gift they are scared of it.

I have such abilities I can tell what people are feeling, people have a habit of telling me super important things about their selves, i can sense that things are gonna happen before they do, sometimes when i sleep i feel my dreams are not my dreams and sometimes my dreams are in different languages and appear to be of different times

ps- it's been a while since I learned about the 'sentience' stuff and im pretty sure thats right, but you might want to check on the web or in Rose Vanden Eyndens "So you want to be a medium" book if you really care. By the way- great book for this kinda stuff, and it really works and isn't like witchcraft or anything.

If any one does have any thing like that, it is probably evil or not true.



Supernatural things could be posible, but it hasn't been seen in a long time.

A lot of people that claim it are fakes.



I used to close my eye's and every once and a while i'd see a picture or scene but right after it I would mostly forget it.

later in life that picture or scene would happen and I'd have a flash back of what I saw, and also the moment I saw it.

Then I started to think about what could happen, and I started loosing it. I haven't had one in a couple months, but I still see the scenes that haven't happened yet.

Your friend probably has an overactive imagination, that's all.



Unfortunately there is no such thing as supernatural abilities, unless you want to consider the skills of someone like Lebron or Tiger to be supernatural. That's just not the case though.
