Is it illegal to pratice witchcraft (even evil spells like curses, Devil worship)?

This question applies to UK laws.

If it is illegal what happens to a person caught praticing witchcraft?

This is a tricky question. In the UK in 1951 the last Laws regarding witchcraft on a national level where repelled. In the US witchcraft was never illegal due to the first amendment. However many many jurisdictions in both countries have anti witchcraft laws, with penalties ranging from simple fines to prison terms

You would have to check your local laws regarding things like Tarot readings, hypnotism, hands-on healings, etc. While most places have removed the old "witchcraft" laws, other laws were put into place to protect people from those that run scams and try to decieve people. In some areas, hypnotism is illegal or for "entertainment purposes only", but "guided meditation" or "guided prayer" are not illegal; but there really is no difference.

As for putting curses on people, you wouldn't tell anyone about it anyways because that would negate the spell. And don't use anything illegal for your area like roosters or animal parts because you might get into trouble for "butchering" without a license or in the wrong zoning area. They catch you now on these little things. Same with outdoor fires (not near a school or only for recreation only or in a container). Also, look into gatherings because if you have a regular gathering, they could get you for operating a "church" without the proper permits/in a home, etc. where it would need to be handicap accessible, extra toilets, etc.

No the last laws against witchcraft where changed in the 1950's. I could look up the exact date in one of my books but then you wouldn't have anything to occupy yourself with. Blessed be.

in a sense,no.it's legal.but if you're living in the province and there are the townspeople and you practice witchcraft, naturally the people will hunt you.it's not practically a law thing.but it's a religion thing.

I don't think it is due to the fact that most Witches are Wiccans and do not believe in evil magic.
