In old Greek terms, the primordial goddess Nyx represents darkness and night. Amongst her offspring she has Hemera (day).

Alternatively you could consider Persephone (aka Kore or Cora) as the goddess of spring and part-time queen of the underworld.

Erebus

In Greek mythology, Erebus (ˈer.e.bus) or Erebos or Erebes (English translation: "deep blackness/darkness or shadow") was the son of a primordial god, Khaos, and represented the personification of darkness and shadow, which filled in all the corners and crannies of the world.

Winterlynn *does* sound really pretty, but it's kind of long, in my opinion... maybe you could split it up so her first and middle names are Winter Lynn? Winterlynn Noelle sounds really pretty, it reminds me of "The First Noel" and Christmassy things Perhaps you didn't mean that though. Winterlynn Eve made me smile too, it's kind of an oxymoron considering how Winter is supposed to be the death of all things yet Eve is traditionally used to represent new life -- it's not a particularly "cold" name if that makes sense Winterlynn Grace... well... it just didn't click with me, kind of a mouthful actually... my apologies. Eira. I read it as "Ear-ra" and then "Era" -- I like it, actually; it's wonderfully confusing -- but if the pronunciation is important, maybe you could spell it "Ara" or "Ira" instead? Good luck with this book! :)

I also Googled it, but the only link I found that may help you, is: www.parents .com There I found links to click on where it says Gender: click on "girl" next to that where it says Letter click on "All" & next to that where it says origin or religion click on "Greek". It came up with over 900 names. Only thing is, you need to click on each name to see its meaning! Good luck!

Leonard Dove and Roger Roberts posted the same question. You should read the answers side by side.
