Magic isn't color coded into white or black. Spells are spells, period. Magic is energy, it has no directions or intentions of its own. The implied "good' or "bad" by "white" or "black" is a misnomer. White isn't always good and black isn't always bad either. Regardless, the intentions lie within the person casting the spell, not the spell itself.

What do you mean by "basic"? And what are you intending to bind? You'll have to be a little more specific.

There are no universal spells that all witches use. Spells are created by a witch for a specific purpose when there is a need.

Basically, if you don't know HOW to cast a spell, no spell is likely to work for you. And I'd even go so far as to say that if you don't yet know how to craft a spell, then you really have no business casting one.

There is no such thing as a white or black magical binding spell... For there are just magical binding spells, But you should do some research as to what a binding spell is suppose to be used for and I bet that many of you will be totally surprise by the answer......

There are different binding spells that can be used for different purposes. What are you trying to bind someone from? An easy basic binding spell can be done with a pic of someone make sure no one else is in the picture and no one else was cut out of it. You could also use a piece of paper and write their name on it, but I recommend a pic. Then you would take a piece of thread and wrap it around it starting from top to bottom until completely wrapped. You could say something as simple as "I bind you from doing harm to others or to yourself", and you would repeat it as you continued to wrap the thread around the photo, or paper. When you are finished, say so mote it be. Then seal it with wax from either a white or even a black candle. Good luck!

Here is a main binding spell that I have could see of use.

BINDING SPELL

Get a large white candle, the kind that drips wax, and set it up on a tray.

Affix to it a photograph or other image of the person you wish to bind.

Make a ring of sea salt around it. Make a second ring with protective herbs.

Fill the rest of the tray with images that represent what you are binding the person from:

pictures of your family, keys to your house, legal documents, whatever.

If the problem is too complex for images, write what the person is bound from on slips of

paper and place them around the candle.

Papyrus, or paper made from cotton or linen work best for this.

Use red ink if you are angry, purple ink if you are sad.

Wrap the candle and the image with black thread (linen, if possible).

Invoke Isis and Linda, the Binder With Linen Thread.

Say out loud what you are binding the person from.

Light the candle and leave it burn until the wax begins to drip over the thread and image.

Burn it every day for a week, until the image is thick with wax.

Use this as a meditation device to direct your will to binding the person.

*There are others as well if you want to get even more specific on the site I referenced.

..white light is something that is practiced a lot in New Orleans.. it is a meditation, like a prayer..to white light something is to envision the success of that which is needed at the time..it's wishing someone well, but seeing them through it, like the power of attraction, used these days..it's usually done w/ the intention being expressed, and the person white lighting the outcome giving the other a sign of the cross (or a cross) on the forehead....

I know some binding spells. They aren't any particular color though. And I'm careful about using them, because binding someone/something ties it to you. (duh) http://erisiantrubble.com/bos/on-binding-spells/
