Last night my little girl asked me for the middle name of Santa Claus. she said she's writing a book and it "desperately requires his middle name for public records in the book"..(her very words)...
does old Chris Kringle have a middle name?
if he doesn't what do you think a good elfish middle name should be for him?
she's really on my back about it....

Chris Kringle is derived from the German "Christkindl" which translates to Christ Child in English. It's not the same name as Santa Claus which comes from St Nicholas.

In France, Father Christmas is called "Père Noël" or "Papa Noël".

So perhaps Noel would be a good middle name.

Or just think of things that we associate with Christmas like Robin perhaps.

There's a Christmas Elf Name generator here which is rather fun:

"Santa Claus" is a corruption of "Saint Nicholas". Therefore, he has no middle name. I doubt that the historical "Saint Nicholas" even had a last name, aside from "of Myrna".
