Has the story about the researchers digging into hell been debunked?

My dad just told me the story of the researchers who record the screams from within hell but I'm not sure what I believe. Has this story been debunked?

i read this story years ago in the weekly workd news ....i have serious doubts about its veracity. don't know if it has been " scientifically debunked" or not but i am always suspicious of stories that end " and we gave then all a sedative that suppresses memory" .

im pretty sure no one really takes this seriously



even if there is a hell, its not in the middle of earth

i figure it would be something less physical but more psychological
