A) being a vampire isn't what most people think it is - from the point of view they have received from the media... and now with twilight - every teen wants to "be a vampire".

but really vampires are humans who go through whats called an awakening around there early teens to 20's.

we have allot of vampiric characteristics and traits and some of us even have gifts - i can change / control peoples emotions and my best friend seth can drain. peoples pain / sadness by simply touching then.

vampires are real, and allot more common than people would like to believe.

B) contacting a vampire in what way? do you mean spiritually like trying to call upon one? or just meeting on in general?

C) yes, we do need blood... at least ever other week.

and we have what are called donors, people who willingly give an amount of blood from themselves to us.

even some hospitals in parts of the world are giving blood to vampires.

i have gone at least 2 months without blood now and i has made me very weak, sick and on edge.

If you want to find out about vampires go read some mythology books and real ones. I admit I only have a book on them because one my dads a proffesor so he knows where to get more lucrative scholarly sources, second I have great interest in myths in general so I have a large collection of books accumalated over time. Finding some good pure vampire lore is hard and will not be found over the internet of course I am bad on the search engine but I doubt you will get more than hollywood hokey and Bram Strokers vampire. You will need to be sure you don't confuse mythology with Bram Strokers vampire. Anyways there are so many interpretations of the vampire and sometimes they are not called vampires. I tend to consider the Romanian vain of vampire the classic approach to vampires but thats just bias. Unfortunantly I don't have the book with me and I could quote some from it but its at home and I'm in collage. I can pick it up and take notes on it if you like no trouble at all. I don't want to give you information of the top of my head because I have not read it for a while after experiencing horrible vivid nightmares. I want to put the hard fact of the traditional vampire out their because its disgusting how they're being advertized as something cute or romantic. Even though I didn't want to say much without going back to my source I feel safe to say that the rough outline of the (western) vampire is a living corpse with no soul damned to thirst for blood that their body will never regain no matter how much they drink. Also in the romanion one there was alot of incest I remember. I suggest hitting a large VERY large library the one that intellectual snobs go to have a hope of finding some good and true info. Happy hunting and why not look for something less dangerous first like a Unicorn...unless your not a virgin. hmm well anyways happy hunting.

1. There are no real vampires. Cut and paste time, as it is too much work to type this out over and over so here goes. A brief discussion of the human digestive system and then the probable vampire population given an exponential growth rate should explain why vampires are not possible.

2. Vampires do not exist. Period. The human body is not designed to process large amounts of blood for nutrition. There is not enough protein, carbohydrates, and fats present in blood to maintain a complex creature such as Homo Sapiens or any theorized offshoot mutations. When a human ingests food it is first broken up by chewing, then churned up in the stomach with digestive juices to form a bolus called chyme. It then passes into the small intestine where it mixes with bile salts which continue breaking it down on a molecular basis, mostly affecting fats at this point. The broken down nutrients pass through the wall of the intestines and into the bloodstream where they are carried to each cell or stored for later use. Indigestible bulk continues through the intestines, turning a dark brown from the bile. Water is absorbed from this mass in the large intestine depending on the needs of the body - a well-hydrated person will usually have a softer stool than a dehydrated person will. Water also enters the bloodstream, and this is what helps to maintain blood pressure. The pressure tends to balance itself in a healthy person because the bloodstream goes through a formation in the kidney called the Loop of Henle, where the narrowing blood vessel forces excess water and cellular waste such as urea out through the cellular wall into the kidneys, where it is excreted through the ureters into the bladder, and then out of the body via the urethral passageway.

3. IMPORTANT - A person physically unable to process his own food for nutrition therefore also could not process blood - it's the same process. Ingested blood does not transmit directly to the veins anyway - it would be chemically broken down by the digestive system.

4. Theoretical ingestion of blood to supply these nutrients would therefore have to occur at least once a day, and would require the ingestion of the entire blood supply which could not happen as the stomach is far too small to hold that much liquid volume. Furthermore, such a mass would be difficult to pass thru the intestines as it has no fibrous bulk, would create an intestinal impaction, causing massive vomiting from the large concentration of iron present, and any "real" vampire would have to eventually expel the waste, which would come out as a black, tarry, smelly goo.

5. These humans that affect the whole "vampiric lifestyle" are NOT vampires. They are simply humans playing their own little game, in their own little fantasy world. I too, play my own little game, in the SCA, but mine is a game where the deeds that I do are determined by the strength of my arm and sword - I am a warrior, with just as much skill and ability as any warrior of ancient times. The difference is that I am claiming to be something physically possible: a warrior, and I prove it everytime I strap on my armor and walk onto a SCA battlefield. The so-called "vampires" are claiming to be something physically impossible: a walking corpse, and all they prove is that black Victorian clothing, a pair of false fangs, and a little makeup make for a good Halloween costume - it does not make you a vampire.

6. Also, if a vampire has to (per my earlier example) feed at least once a day, and if this results in a new vampire every time (per the original legends) then the original vampire creates 365 offspring in just 1 year. The first one he creates then sires 364 more that year, and the second sires 363, and so on and so forth, do the math - almost a million vampires in the first year alone! Reproducing at an exponential rate, even with today's global population, they would totally convert every human on the planet in less than five year's time! (In 1 week's time alone that would be 35 vampires, and by the end of the 2nd week there would be 7 more for each of the 35, for a total of 245 plus another 34 for the new ones, or a grand total at the end of 14 days of 279 vampires!) This falls therefore, under the logic of Occam's Razor - which states that when you have removed every impossible answer, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth. Since there is no "vampiric plague" swarming the earth, the logical deduction is that they don't exist.

7. Point of clarification about "vampire" bats: vampire is simply the name we have given them because they do drink blood, same as a flea, mosquito, or spider. Are these creatures vampires? No. They are living creatures, not legendary monsters. Drinking blood does not make you a vampire anymore than eating raw meat makes you a werewolf, although it might make you a mosquito.

8. There is no "virus" that can rewrite your DNA that radically - you would simply die from massive systemic shock as your body failed on a molecular level. Vampires do NOT exist, and those that claim they do are in need of serious psychological counseling.

9. Tell you what - I will be camping outside at Cedar Lakes in Ripley, West Virginia during April, at a little SCA event called Blackstone Raids. My medieval pavilion will be clearly marked with a heraldic banner the same as my shield in the avatar - an emerald gryphon on a silver and sable gyronny. (A better pic of it is on my 360 page.) Any "real" vampire out there should therefore make a nice little snack out of me if they really exist.

I'm calling their bluff.

I guarantee you I will still be posting here this time next year.

Edit: My karma would be more seriously harmed if I didn't try to educate others - I'm a Nurse and teaching is one of our callings.

Hmm. Being a vampire cannot be explained. I am vampire. I would say that being a vampire is when you intact yourself to a deeper part of you that wants to be on the surface, but you do not understand how to bring it there. This is in terms of the mortal vampire. Once you have met the total connection of your inner mortal vampire. You must find the right immortal to switch you. I have not found him yet. He must be someone you trust and are willing to mate with. So there is a charismatic part of your relationship, so attraction is key. If the person feels this love for you as well, then you are in luck and you have found yourself the one that will transform you. This may take plenty of years. Therefore this being said I have been searching for 2 years. I am but young still. Your astral body hardens and you are intact with it forever. Thus until you cannot hold up your shield forever, then it will fall and you will rot here on earth.

You cannot contact a vampire, unless you have some true part to you that is superior to human kinds.

AKA: vampire, vampyre, psychic, gypsy, witch, wizard, pagan, wiccan.

There must be a true part of dominant in you.

Yes. Blood is a great source. I love to find new humans or vamp brothers to feed off. In return they get some of my sweet blood. I am very appealing to others. Are you?

A.) a vampire is a normal person who is not able to create energy like normal humans. so there are two types of vampires. psy vamps and sang vamps. psy can take energy just by being around other people. sang vamps however take energy from blood but only need to consume about a tablespoon a week.

B.) contacting a vamp is hard bc most of us don't want to be ridiculed and only "come out" over the internet

C.) like i said before, it depends on the type of vampire. i personally can take energy from people but find it fleeting and i prefer taking it in blood which lasts me days to even weeks.

EDIT

i know how you feel. i am faced wiht skeptics everyday. if you want i can show you what it is like to be psy vamp sorta. you jsut need to manupliate the energy around you. i'm a practing witch as well as a vamp and i have learned to do this quite well.

Your MAIN "gift" is that you are easily impressionable...

You are not psychic,or else you would have known the responses you`ed get..

You are nothing more than a young girl who wants to be more than she REALLY is,to stand out,to have some kind of power in a world far too powerful for her to understand..

I see this mentality all too often & it leads to destruction.

Everyone wants to be psychic, shamanistic, medicine people...

In reality, one in 10 million people are gifted,& you aint the ONE...

If you were, you would not even consider coming to this site to talk, you`ed be far too busy doing REAL healings etc to even know this place existed.

There`s your dose of reality....now go & be a normal,healthy kid.

Vampires aren't real. Honestly. Fantasy is getting to your head.

EDIT:

Karma? You do realize that the rest of us out there may not believe in karma? Plus, I hardly think I'm being mean, I would more say you're being mislead.
