None

Basically I've been doing lots of research on witchcraft lately and I would like to pursue it. I just don't know which kind of craft would be best for me. I love the idea of using herbs so heal yourself and others. I believe that we all come from the earth so we should respect it. I don't believe in spirits but I believe in energy. I believe energy makes up all living things and that energy can be manipulated to make you feel a certain way. I am atheist. i'm not that superstitious though. I don't really believe in luck and mythological creatures and gods.

It looks like you've got your answer in your details. You may want to start studying up on herbal magic, herbal lore, herbal medicines, etc., and when you are old enough, take a comprehensive herbal healing course and become a certified herbal healer.

It could be "Green Witchcraft" that would most interest you, as it focuses on a personal connection with nature more so than on a spiritual connection with a god or gods.

Keep in mind what this article (link below) labels as "spirits", you label as "energy". Another witch might personalize the various energies by relating them to mythological creatures of nature such as sprites, fairies, and elves. Different witches may use different terms that mean pretty much the same thing, whatever it is they personally relate to. This author says it as "communicate with the plant's spirit" while I'd say "attune to the plant's energy". So look at the bigger picture when studying. Just because one witch may use the term "spirits", don't immediately discount the info as being something you don't believe in and thus can't learn from.

To clarify, divination is not "fortune telling" as seen on TV where someone might flip a few tarot cards over and tell the person they're reading for that someone they love is going to die or something like that.

Divination is a psychological self-help tool, using physical tools like tarot or scrying to access the subconscious mind and bring forth information stored there to conscious thinking; to help one to take a look at "the bigger picture" or to take a look at a problem or situation from different angles; to help analyze past and current behavioral and thought patterns, which can help to figure out the best course of action to take for a desired outcome. It's really more about digging deeper to your inner-self and working with/learning from what's already in your own mind.

An atheist witch, I really don't know of any type of witchcraft that does not believe in spirits.you kind of have the right idea, because spirits are energy positive or negative. Witchcraft is the manipulation of supernatural energy to cause an effect in the physical.so if you want to really be a powerful witch you must work with spirits, there's only so much you can do without their help.the energy in the physical world is limited but in the supernatural is unlimited.the closer you work with this entities the more powerful you become even defying the laws of physics, unbelievable the things I have seen.spirits are real and so is their power but they remain hidden from the natural world unless you seek this knowledge, that's why is called the occult.

WE...cannot tell you what type of Witchcraft would be best for you because...we are not you. YOU...have to determine what you want to focus on and what your interests are. I could by all means list all kinds of different crafts and practices, but because I know absolutely nothing about you as a person, your interests or personality, I have no idea what kind of craft would be "best" for you.

As well, it's not necessary to even put a label on the type of craft you do. I have no label, I just refer to myself as a Witch (well, I have other long-winded, totally unnecessary titles, but I'm not one for listing my labels for others' sake)

Many witches find energy to be living, so partially adds to the theory of spiritual union. Rather than manipulating it, as many such as myself could start off thinking, our bodies can be attuned to the forces of various energies, that likely reside within ourselves, and cast off the energy for a purpose, that may either be done by your subconscious or another entity or flow of energy that works well with you. The mind can trick you damn well easy, so it is almost always hard to try in the beginning.

Some types of things are either so close to magic that is referred to in other areas of study. Magic isn`t only just applicable in terms of laws, but it reflects the natural order in alot of ways, that it may be so, but try telling other people. One book wouldn`t give the whole idea, but can tap into hints of it, as far as my books have gone. A psychology book called Experiment In Depth, to me, seems like a good prefix. There is alot to learn from that book, and aside from that, its wiser to work for self-improvement, for a cautious beginning, because you don`t want primal forces of the mind to work against you in magic.

After reading that book, if you so choose, I think rootwork or herbal magic would be good on physical terms, but after reading the book, you may feel inclined to work with both the outside world and inside, for balance, and for the inside, I`d recommend learning the runes(Poetta Edda is the religious book in which they and the surviving Asatru tales are mentioned), because inside, you are working with the subconscious forces, and the runes, once understood, may become the keys to your being.
