Not at all. It is commonly believed though that the work was intended to be silly and absurd, as common literary cricles of the time were obsessed with finding literary meaning in every piece of literature. It was written for pure entertainment.

I think its telling kids that if they do drugs, they'll be thrown into a magical world where everything is mystical and wonderful.
