They are early risers. I remember somewhere in the book it says they eat breakfast at six. If they like to shower in the morning, I guess earlier. Probably about fiveish.

I think that if they were at the Green Dragon the night before, or if there was a party at the party tree, they might sleep in a little.

Otherwise, I think they get up quite early to tend to their land and livestock. There's always time for dinner and supper.

I would have to agree that hobbits get up early, although I would assume that the timing would be with the rise of the sun. That would allow for them to work in their gardens and fields with light, and hopefully beat the heat, if it gets really warm during midday.

I suspect a lot of them like to sleep in ^_^

But Hobbits like Sam Gamgee probably get up around 7 in the morning to fix the garden. I love good ol' Samwise. He's my favourite ... such a loyal friend to Frodo he is :)

Usually right around 6 A.M. . . . then it's 30 minutes of aerobics, a half hour of the Today Show, then oatmeal and yogurt, and then a limo picks them up for work in Hobbitville.

Probably fairly early, the habits of Hobbits are much like that of the old-time farmers or ranchers (which most hobbits were), they would get up, have a light meal, go out a work for awhile, have another meal, go out a work for awhile, have Lunch, go out a work, have supper, do household chores or lighter work, have dinner, relax, maybe have a before-bed snack, go to sleep. This meal pattern is actually very healthy and beneficial.

Hobbits are by no means, as a race, lazy. They are farmers, herdsmen, shopkeepers, tradesmen, etc.

Hobbits tend to wake up at around six because they need to shower.
