Circe transformed Odysseus's men into pigs because she thought men should be pig because that is how they act. She is nice to girls, but she is mean to men.

From what I understand Circe liked fooling with men and changing them for her own pleasure or she disliked men and wanted to get revenge on whoever she could.

She was a magician, so maybe she wanted to do some experiments with the pigs? Or maybe earlier in her life men betrayed her and she's taking revenge by doing that?

Circe transformed her enemies, or those who offended her into animals.
