There was a movie, about the blue rose, from the 1960's, I saw it as a child. The prince has to go on a long journey and he rides a flying horse. I googled it, but could not find it. The story is different from yours.

a fairy tale with a fairy tale ending~` it also teaches the moral values such as honesty, kindness, and etc., yet i do now no longer understand if the white rose potential that there is not any blue rose, or that somethings can get replaced, like the regulations that princesses might want to marry princes.
