I went to a ladys house who doesn't even know me. She just look at me and told me stuff that was right on and believe me she didn't try to trick me for answers or situations. I made sure of that.

I am dating a guy who is trying to quit drinking SHE SAYS SHE A HEAVY DRINKER THAT NEEDS HELP (i didn't tell her about him). She guess that I DON'T GET ALONG WITH MY SISTER. (i never mentioned not getting along w/ anyone). She ASKED WHO BILL WAS. (that is my dads name who has passed away) She said THERE IS A DIAMOND RING IN THE AIR. (my boyfriend says he has one on lay away...not sure if I believe him) and again I never told her about my boyfriend. So anyways she was saying all the right things and she let me listen in on a friend and was on with her too. Do you believe in them?

These fraudsters are experts at getting information out of you pinky, you say that you made sure that she didn't, you do it without realising it, it's called the art of 'cold reading', please read my link and see how easy it is to be fooled.

James Randi has been testing psychics all over the world for 60 years, he has never found a genuine one, he even offers a $1,000,000 challenge to anyone who can prove their 'power' none has come close.

Why do you think that you've never seen a headline in the paper "Psychic wins the lottery again" or signs in Casinos and betting shops "Psychics are banned"?

EDIT: Tarot cards, crystal balls and runes etc. are just add-on

gimmicks to make the whole thing more believable, a bit like the bag of bones that witch doctors use, don't be fooled by them.

I do not believe in psychic readers.

The things she mentioned are very general items, based on your age, or on a 5 minute Google search. Did you make an appointment with her? When you made the appointment, did you leave your full name? If she googled your full name, she can find things like Facebook profiles, yahoo profiles, myspace, etc etc etc. All it takes is 10 minutes and a computer, and you can find out very basic things about people.

For instance, most people know heavy drinkers who need to quit, or slow down. I think everyone knows someone who drinks too much, and especially young women 18-25 know people like this. She didn't say, "Your boyfriend is a heavy drinker who needs help," she just mentioned "a heavy drinker." Also, most girls 18-25 have diamond rings on the brain.

Many people have sisters they don't get along with sometimes, and you might have mentioned this on a social networking site that showed up in a google search. She would have been able to see your father's obituary online if she searched your name, as well.

Don't be drawn in by psychics. They are talented actors, but they don't have mystical knowledge.

No, I don't. A lot of what they do is cold reading- they'll make purposely vague statements then narrow in on your response. Most people know at least one heavy drinker- especially if you are young, and if you said you didn't know anyone she'd say something like "It might not be drinking, it may be another bad habit..." And you could say "Oh, my uncle loses tons of money gambling". Likewise, I know at least three "Bill"s and "William"s- and even if I didn't, she could just say "It may be another B name, or possibly you're having trouble paying bills?" etc. Also, if you're in your twenties, you probably know several people who are engaged or close to it. I've had 4 friends get engaged in the last year- it's just what happens at a certain age. If you were a few years older she'd guess that one of your friends was having a baby- and she'd probably be right.

Also, consider how often she was wrong about things. People who earn a living this way are very good at distracting attention from their mistakes. They may ask many different questions in a row, then go back to the most promising lead, or rephrase a question in a way that totally changes the meaning "I'm sensing that you've recently gotten good news" "No, my luck has been miserable- I just got laid off" "Ah, that's it. Losing your job is actually the best thing to happen to you in a long time- you weren't happy there, and something much better is coming your way".

without going into the doubt section i'll go into the belief:

psychic i feel can read your "background" cause it's a fix point in time already...(a mark in time we leave behind like fingerprints)

boyfriend is a drinker, and put a ring on layaway..

your father name and passed...

sis and you not getting along...

all done in the pass..... even if some events are in present or future...

what is hard is telling the future unless someone has already set in motion the events for it...
