Everyone ever recorded to have them has been proven to be a fake , like uri geller and the rest of 'em (like that girl, and others whos name I cant remember because their damn liars). I realize I might read off as unrealistic, but its damn disappointing when you think someone has taken a step towards further evolution of our minds and they turn out to just be people using tricks for attention (and no, Chris Angel and houdini are not the type im refferring to)

Proven? must have missed that memo. just because someone says hey maybe they did it like this or like that. does not a fake make.

or because after someone dies they say hey they told me they faked it. that is not proof either.

most people because of back lash would keep these things to themselves.

No, there is no real evidence that it exists. Several groups offer big cash prizes for anyone who can prove objectively that he or she has such abilities. The James Randi Foundation is one of these groups, and it offers $1,000,000 for such evidence. Nobody has ever won any of these prizes that amount to several million bucks. James Randi has challenged such frauds as Sylvia Browne and John Edwards, and they ignore him. Sylvia said she'd accept the challenge at first, but then, she only offered lame excuses for failing to do it. If anyone really had such abilities, he or she would want to make millions of dollars and have the publicity of proving their claims were right, instead of conning a few hundred dollars here and there from gullible grieving people. Uri Geller was proved to be a fake on "The Tonight Show" on TV, so pamela k is wrong.

If you are talking empirical data that can be reliably recreated in a laboratory, then the short answer is no. All there exists is annecdotal evidence and urban legend claims. The closest thing there is would be the strong emotional/physical connection between many twins and that is almost certainly biology and enviroment influenced. Plus most if not all of the shared pain and non-verbal communication stories between twins is false.

We still have no technology to prove if psychic abilities are indeed real. All we have now are false claims or hopes. But there's no harm in believing. You might have heard of the statement that says "We only use 20% of our brain's power." Although many doctors and scientists would disagree with that. There are still claims and experiments being done to prove that. Currently in Japan, they're inventing a machine which can record our dreams like a video you see in a tv. Freaky?

I'm not certain about proof, but Franklin Pierce College in New Hampshire offers a Bachelor degree in parapsychology.

I think it would be stupid to discount the idea. I know of people (myself included) who have had knowledge of things before they happen. But I don't go around giving readings, nor do I charge money. Mostly, I think we are just meant to know things sometimes.

I think there are a lot of people who are just crafty enough to cash in on the pain of others. If you've ever watched J. Edward, he has specific patterns he follows. Sylvia Browne is entertaining. I don't know what her success rate is, but I know her fail rate is pretty high.

Still, to discount the notion entirely due to the selfishness and greed of a few, is not wise. But, think what you want to think. No skin off my nose.

No, never. the Amazing Randi offered a cool mil if somebody could prove psychic ability under lab conditions, and guess what? Nobody ever has. No proof.

Randi's million is safe because he is only interested in disproving fakes, not looking for positive evidence. Besides, it's his million dollars. He has a vested interest in hanging on to it.

There is plenty of evidence supporting psychic ability. It just hasn't been accepted by the larger scientific community. Google the following terms for some interesting information: "Rupert sheldrake," "Reich and orgone," "paranormal research and duke university," and "miracles at lourdes." Also check out the link.
