the Apache creation myth was made by Native Americans in A.D 850. i'm doing a project and it asked if anyone still believed the earth was created this way? i cant find any new information on if people still believe in it. here's a link to read the myth if you want: http://www.dreamscape.com/morgana/miranda.htm ,just scroll down a little ways and it should say "Apache"

Why are you calling the apache creation story a "myth"? Isn't that terribly racist and insulting? Tell me, do you call the Christian creation story a "myth"? I mean, does anyone really still believe the world was created in 6 days, and women were made out of man's rib, and a talking snake made people wear clothes?

btw....your link doesn't work, but I can already tell that's not the real Apache creation story (which comes from over 5000 years ago, btw..NOT 850) that version you are reading was written by a non-native, non-apache new age person, using badly translated sources.

If that ridiculous website has posted an accurate Apache creation story, then I am a monkey's uncle.

Projects generally require accurate information....not new-age twaddle filled websites. And considering the Apache have been around for thousands of years, I seriously doubt their creation story only came about in 850.

I saw the story, I highlighted the link then right clicked, and opened it in a new tab. Having never heard the creation from the Apaches, I couldn't say. But I am certain their version is far older than 850AD. Hell, the Vikings were probably here then. Those Apaches are far older here in our country than 850AD. Where did you come up with that date?
