Hi about two years ago I was really scared of bloody Mary for awhile but then got over it. Two nights ago my sister had a scary dream concerning bloody Mary and I was just wondering if anyone thinks she is real or fake and if you could give me a link to a website or article which says she's real or fake. Thanks!!!

There actually was a Bloody Mary, but I don't think the legend you are thinking of came from her. Bloody Mary was the nickname, or rather, the disparaging name, used for Queen Mary I of England (or Mary Tudor, daughter of King Henry VIII and Queen Katherine of Aragon, his first wife).

The Legend of Bloody Mary has many different roots, depending on the cultural reference. So, maybe in England it is referring to Queen Mary I.

Don't worry, it's just a legend, a myth. Bloody Mary will not hurt you, but it is pretty scary! I used to be scared of it when I was younger!

Mary Tudor. Daughter of Henry V111 and Catherine of Aragon( Catherine (born1485- died1536) Henry" s first wife of six England at this time was a Catholic country . Henry a great womaniser wanted a divorce in order to marry his mistress Anne Boleyn (The future mother of Elizabeth 1 ) The failure to obtain this divorce brought about the downfall of Cardinal Wolsey, and England breaking away from Rome. Henry created The Church of England thus causing much religious dissent in the country Many high ranking men went to the block rather then forswear there catholic beliefs On the death of Henry (1547) Mary became queen of England she was a devout catholic and tried to restore the old faith ,many people were burnt at the stake , many others persecuted for their new faith Here in England i have never heard the expression Bloody Mary used in the context you give it .I can only assume it is something peculiar to America ,perhaps brought over by the early English settlers who in the main were quakers and would have had little truck with either form of religion Please ease your mind i assure you it has no mystic or supernatural connections whatsoever

There is a legend of a Witch who was called Bloody Mary. I think the story originated in Ireland or Germany. Bloody May stole village girls at night and killed them. As far as the story about the mirror, its fake.

No, I've tried her legend and nothing happened.

Also, the legend has nothing to do with dreams. It has to do with mirrors.
